Kristi Carré Freeland, designer and principal of Carré Designs, has been creating and enhancing environments for over 15 years. She specializes in high-end residential interior architecture, custom renderings, custom furniture and graphic design with a passionate focus on sustainability. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Savannah College of Art & Design in 2001, completed a Certificate Degree in Sustainable Design from UC Berkeley in 2005 and attained her LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Green Associate credential in 2006.

Kristi established her professional career at the world-renowned firm The Wiseman Group (TWG) in San Francisco where she completed her 12 year tenure as an Associate Design Principal. In addition to project management and design, she co-managed the Architecture Department and oversaw almost all custom furniture and product designs from concept to production to installation. She continues to work closely with artisans from around the world in the design and execution of custom furniture, fabrics, rugs and more. She specializes particularly in hand drawings which clients promote as a unique and beneficial part of the process.

Kristi has been analyzing Sustainable Design practices within the Interior Design & Architecture communities for over 10 years. She has worked closely with other designers and artisans to increase awareness and practical applications of Sustainable Design.

Kristi has since continued her design journey in both Austin, TX and Boulder, CO. She now works independently on projects in the SF Bay Area, Hawaii, Montana, Colorado and elsewhere. Kristi spends her free time doing photography, silk-screening on paper and textiles and painting. In addition to the arts, she loves hiking, staring at maps, camping, yoga and oogling over her two little girls, Mia Carré and Libby Mae.
